{ Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE } Age: 17 Gender: Femal Species: Human Sexuality: Heterosexual Barracks Assignment: Mui Tessera Training Division: Physical Offensive
Appearance: Sakura-hime is average height for a girl. She's very slender, with a lithe, elongated build. She has wide, gentle green eyes and fair skin. Her hair is cropped short at her neck in the back and on the sides. Her bangs fall to her eyebrows, and she has a couple of flyaway strands. Sakura-hime wears a white, hooded cloak with a pink block design around the trim. Beneath that, she wears a long-sleeved black shirt and shorts with pink trim for ease of movement, as well as a belt at her waist with pouches attached for small things (medicine and bandages, etc.) as well as a knife and a sword. She also wears a pair of black travel boots with heavy soles and black riding gloves. Because she travels to different worlds, she often changes into outfits provided to her by locals so she doesn't seem suspicious. Personality: Sakura-hime in her early youth was naiive and often times childish, unlike her companion Syaoran. At the time of the 'accident', in which Syaoran lost all his memories, Sakura immediately became single-minded in retrieving Syaoran's memories, and thus became business-like and solemn. She was assured by her travel companions that no one would be angry with her if she smiled more often, and so she began to again become a bit more cheerful as she once had been. She always kept a compassion for all people, no matter what their social status, and never liked attention to be drawn to the fact that her homeworld status was important. Abilities/Strengths: Sakura-hime is quick with a sword (taught by her older brother) and kick-based martial arts (taught by a world-traveller). She can usually use a substantial amount of magic, as long as the world does have (or once had) magic-users. Weaknesses: Sakura is blind when it comes to protecting others, and she's compassionate to a fault. Her kindness makes her sometimes easily manipulated. She's also quite stubborn. Notable Possessions: Sakura owns a sword (Shikaze), which produces wind-based attacks, and a small, basic knife.
Sakura-hime was born to Clow, the King of Clow Country. She was the youngest of two children (her older brother was named Touya). Sakura was still quite young when Fujitaka came to Clow Country to ask permission to excavate the ruins of Clow. Then she met Fujitaka's son, Syaoran. They became fast friends, and spent quite a lot of time together when Syaoran was not at the ruins helping his father. Syaoran was often quiet and reserved, and very rarely smiled. Sakura taught him that it was all right to smile, and to have fun. They decided that, since Syaoran didn't know his birthday, it would be the same as Sakura's (April 1st), so they could always celebrate together. Syaoran showed up one day with a young man who he said had saved him. In return for a book Syaoran let him read, the man Seishirou would teach him how to fight. Sakura requested that he teach her too (Much to Touya's annoyance). Seishirou taught them well. One day however, he simply vanished. Soon after, Syaoran's father was killed in an accident at the ruins. Syaoran closed himself off again, and began staying for weeks on end at the ruins site to further his father's dream. In an accident, he lost his left eye. Sakura's father passed away, and Touya became the ruler of Clow Country. As King, he refused to let Sakura see Syaoran. He had some very basic magic powers, and knew that Syaoran and Sakura's destiny was connected in some way, and wished to delay it as long as possible. Yukito, the royal magician, confirmed that Sakura and Syaoran were indeed destined for each other, and that there was a trial in their future. Finally, Touya gave up attempting to keep Sakura and Syaoran apart, though he made it clear he didn't really like Syaoran. Sakura went to visit Syaoran at the site of the ruins on her and Syaoran's seventeenth birthday to declare her love for him. She finally found him in the depths of the ruin, kneeling over a large engraving in stone. A strange glow filled the room, and wings that seemed to be made of light appeared as Syaoran was lifted from the ground. Sakura ran forward and grabbed him, and the wings dispersed into feathers. Syaoran fell lifelessly against Sakura. Yukito appeared with them, and helped Sakura get Syaoran outside. Men began appearing out of thin air, coming towards Sakura and Syaoran as if to kill them. Touya arrived and fended the men off while Yukito sent Sakura and Syaoran to Yuuko, the dimensional witch. They landed in a new world at the feet of Yuuko. She told them that Syaoran's memories had been scattered to various worlds, and they would have to be returned to save his life. Sakura assured Yuuko that she was ready and willing to do so. At that time, two strangers appeared from other worlds. These two were Kurogane of Nihon country and Fai D. Flourite of Celes country. Yuuko set these two to travel with Sakura and Syaoran to help return Syaoran's memories. To send them through these different dimensions, Yuuko granted them Mokona, a small white creature that could talk and sense the feathers of Syaoran's memories. In return, she took Syaoran and Sakura's relationship, meaning that no matter how many feathers Sakura returned to her friend, he wouldn't remember anything that happened before then. They landed in the Hanshin Republic before Fai or Kurogane could actually agree to help. They found themselves in the middle of a battle between two gangs and their kudans (magical, protective spirits that have particular skills or elemental associations. There are four kudan ranks). Sakura interjected in the battle with a bird Kudan in order to protect Syaoran, who was still unconscious, even after recieving a feather memory that Sakura had stuck to her cloak (Fai had found it). The leader of one of the groups challenged Sakura to battle, but police sirens were heard and the gang fled. A young couple took the group in for their stay in their world. Syaoran awoke and began searching for his own feather while Sakura and the others were out doing the same. They met a young boy who agreed to help them. When Syaoran awoke again (with no memory of searching for his feather), he asked Sakura who she was. She explained what was going on, holding back her tears bravely. After this, Fai and Kurogane agreed to help them. Kurogane was a little more reluctant. While battling with the gang leader who'd challenged them before, the low-rank kudan of the young boy they'd met suddenly grew to a massive size and began destroying the city. Sakura managed to catch up to the kudan with her own, and retrieve the feather that had caused the kudan's mutation. With no more feathers in the world, Mokona took them to the next. They arrived in Koryo. The lord there had thrown the previous lord out with his sudden gain in power, caused by one of Syaoran's feathers. The group, along with Chun'yan (a young girl who'd lost her mother to the lord's power) and the village people, ousted the lord after two attempts and much trial. Sakura's leg was injured by the lord's son. Still, she and Syaoran managed to defeat the lord together. They retrieved the feather. The next world had no feather, but it was a calming rest from the nonstop action they'd been facing. Fai assured Sakura that even though she was searching for Syaoran's feathers, she could enjoy herself. They arrived next in Outo, where Sakura, Syaoran, and Kurogane became Onigari, bounty hunters that fought and destroyed the Oni. It was here that Sakura recieved Shikaze. Kurogane recieved Souhi creatures who haunted certain places in town. Soon, the Oni began appearing in places they weren't supposed to and attacking civilians. Fai was injured by one of the Oni, and because of this, was consumed by the Oni, as was Kurogane. Sakura and Syaoran found Seishirou, the man who'd taught them to fight, had been behind the Oni's wild, random attacks. He 'killed' both of them. However, all four of them (as well as Mokona) awoke in egg-shaped containers. This was Edonis, the world that had created the virtual reality of Outo. Seishirou fought again with them briefly, but they didn't obtain the feather he had. The next world they arrived in was Shara country, where a circus troupe was at odds with a temple, because they worshipped two gods who were eternally at war. Sakura and Syaoran landed with the troupe, while Kurogane and Fai ended up with the temple. Mokona suddenly transported Syaoran and Sakura to Shura country (Shara country's past) at the castle of the moon, where they were on the ground in the middle of a war. Ashura saved them, and they were transported back to the Earth and found the country that captured the castle of the moon would have their wish granted. Sakura and Syaoran both agreed to fight in the war. They met two people who looked like Kurogane and Fai, except their eyes were black. At the final battle, Ashura met Yasha, who disappeared suddenly, and turned instead into one of Syaoran's feathers. Sakura returned it to Syaoran, and as Mokona transferred them to another dimension, Sakura requested that Ashura and Yasha be buried together. They were transported briefly back to the present Shara country, where the shrine members and the troupe members were now friends. The group realized they'd changed history. The next world was Piffle world, where they joined an aircraft race to win Syaoran's feather. Along the way, they had to maneuver through several traps set up by someone attempting to sabotage the race. Sakura ended up winning, the rest having to stop due to being caught in traps. They then travelled to the next world. They came to the world of Rekord, where Sakura discovered Kurogane's past through a book of memories. The original was one that held Syaoran's feather. They went through many magic wards to get to the book, and had to fight the beasts that protected the book. Fai used his magic for the first time to save them. They retrieved the feather and traveled quickly to the next country. They ended up in Tokyo. Acid rain began to fall, and they took refuge in the only building around that was not completely destroyed. Sakura was shot in the leg by an arrow. Several cloaked men became visible, and their leader fought with Kurogane, until another group showed up. Their leader fought with the man who Kurogane was battling, then abruptly left when told the "Tower" was being robbed. The hooded men decided the group was safe enough to treat Sakura's wound. They found Syaoran suddenly in the basement, drawn by an energy in the water reservoir there (it's a feather). A boy who looks like Syaoran arrives, claiming he is the "real" Syaoran. Fai fights him and loses--badly. He also loses his eye. Sakura and Syaoran fight him, and he is destroyed, revealing that he wasn't human at all, but closer to a spirit. Sakura returns Syaoran's feather. Fai's life is saved by the leader of the hooded men who originally took them in--he's turned into a vampire, with Kurogane as his 'bait.' They traveled to the next world, where the group fought in a sort of chess game with real players. Syaoran was the 'master' (with much protesting), Sakura, Kurogane and Fai were the 'pieces'. In the final battle, Sakura fought with a mechanical doll to acquire the ability to travel to different worlds on her own to gather feathers. She won, and was given Chii, the key to another dimension. She woke in Econtra. Eriol Hiiragizawa & Cardcaptor Sakura © CLAMP.
